“As soon as you pull in you are greeted by a beautiful willow tree. The property is just amazing, from the trout stream to the house. Oh my, the house, it is picturesque, it should be featured in a magazine. It is the cleanest vacation rental house we have stayed in. A big plus, just a short drive to Watauga lake. The host, Gary, is super friendly. We can’t wait to come back!”

The property suffers somewhat from a lack of regular attention -- although this may be because it was the off season. Most of the accoutrements are what you would expect from a mid-range, budget-conscious place to stay, while others (including the pool table and the boats) clearly are more in the "luxury stay" category. “Absolutely beautiful home. Gas Fireplace inside and out was perfect. Grill was good! Could use some new cooking pans, but the place was absolutely wonderful. No cell service but had good internet so that wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely rent this in the future.
