A beautiful place to stay! It was wonderfully quiet and had so much space! And the hosts were absolutely lovely!!! Offering to help up with anything we needed. We are definitely going to be back :)

Peaceful bush location

I needed a ‘time out’ and this place was absolutely perfect. Private and peaceful, surrounded by stunning bushland, birds and wildlife. Walking trails have been thoughtfully created around the property, where you can stroll for hours. The accommodation itself is spacious and has everything you’ll need. Plenty of room inside, with a big enclosed deck upstairs, and front and rear verandas. I will definitely be back to this little gem!

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Urgent Feedback

We stayed there on December 28th. Although the road to the property was unpaved, the hosts were kind. However, from the very first day, we noticed several mice in the house. As a result, we had to keep all our dishes and luggage sealed, which made us feel uncomfortable. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t get rid of the mice because the house was full of inaccessible holes, allowing the mice to move around freely.On the second night, at around 4 a.m., while we were asleep, a mouse got into our bed, causing immense fear and panic. We were left with no choice but to pack up immediately and return home. This experience has left my wife and daughter with a fear of mice, and we will likely need to consult a psychologist for them.I can never recommend this place. Our money and holiday time were completely wasted in the worst possible way. I am deeply disappointed.

Comfort in the wild.

We were very comfortable and enjoyed our visit. Beautiful accommodation with bathroom downstairs. Well appointed, I loved the tea/coffee selection. Not the deafening cicadas so much. They did pipe down for our delicious barBQ. Thanks Garry

Amazing Place

Family Getaway for Kids Birthday

Jan and Garry were the perfect hosts and their property is stunning. We stayed for 4 days for the kids birthday and had a great time. Everything was as described and the couldn't have been made feel more welcome. I would highly recommend a stay at this place. Fantastic place to stay

We had the most beautiful, relaxing few days away. The property was perfect for a relaxing break with our kids. Fire kept the cabin cosy and warm and we loved spending time in the evening cooking and playing board games. Although the weather wasn’t great it didn’t dampen the holiday, our kids loved riding in the puddles getting muddy and getting wet. Garry was awesome we arrived to the fire started in the late afternoon and his attention to his guests is wonderful, he even helped our boys with a few bike issues and made sure we had plenty of wood to keep warm. It was such a nice break away that we needed and we’d love to go back in spring or summer. Great location, great host and everything you needed.

Excellent!

Property was exactly as described and was absolutely beautiful! We got to see kangaroos and wombats on several occasions. We can't say enough about Gary and Jan, they are wonderful hosts! Very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

Delightful bush retreat

We loved our stay at Brunkerville. The house was lovely and rustic. The fires were a highlight. Our two sons (5 & 9) loved the bike track. Gary and Jan were accessible and helpful as we needed. It was a great place to unplug and reset after a busy term.

We loved our stay. Place was beautiful and clean, had all the amenities and plenty to entertain the kids inside and out. Perfect spot!!

What an amazing find! Its quiet but has all the entertwinment you need- wallabies, birds, and lovely Honey- the staffie:))) balcony is perfect for brunch and lunch. Firepit is a great spot to chill and the house!!!!! We loved it!!!! Well equipped kitchen helped with all our cooking needs:))))

Peaceful Retreat

Beautiful property with cosy and spacious home complete with everything you need. It is peaceful, quiet and relaxing for our family to enjoy some down time and also close to national park and Hunter Valley. Gary the host was there to greet us and kindly accompany our 12y son for a mountain bike trail on the property. Thank you for sharing your property with us and the supply of eggs.
