"A wonderful hotel in the older style. Friendly staff, nice room, except for a very noisy seagull on the windowsill in the morning, causing the window to be closed at all times. At least we had a fan in the room. Bathroom had a tub to my daughter's happiness. The steam room and pool was available for use. It was well needed after a full day out and about along the sea-front. Steamroom and sauna only for over 16s. The ned was a little on the hard side, but ok. Breakfast had both warm and cold food, and was nice and fresh. The restaurant had really nice food for dinner, and if you like your sweets you should try their afternoon tea."

"It was a great hotel to stay at, close to the train station and reasonable walking distance into the centre and to the beach. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were easy to use. It felt very clean and fresh over all. We didn't have any meals at the hotel, but we did have a drink in the bar. It was a comfortable area to sit and relax and have a drink. We'll definitely stay there again if we come back to Brighton."
