The property is as beautiful as the photos on the website. The surrounding is very quiet and absolutely dark at night, perfect for star-gazing. I suggest first arriving to the house in the daytime as the road off the main path is a little hard to spot if first arriving at night. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry items, utensils and flatware: just bring your own food and you're ready to cook. Drive down to quaint Breckenridge to stock up on everything you need. We did not use the outdoor grill but one is ready for use, I noticed the spare gas tank in the garage which is a great thought by the owner. I had to do some work while on my vacation, but I must have felt like Hemingway writing in absolutely perfect surroundings staring right into the mountains. The house is surrounded by wildlife, during hikes up the mountain in the rear of the house we were able to see some large birds, a coyote den, and tracks of a bear... not sure what type. The house sits at an elevation around 11000 feet so be sure to prepare for some bottle burping when opening anything in a plastic bottle...it's actually kind of funny to see. It took a day or two to acclimate to the elevation. New appliances galore in kitchen and laundry, we packed light knowing that these amenities were available. Will want to return for future vacations.
