Firehouse Cottage is just over a mile from the shops, eateries, and marinas in downtown Boothbay Harbor. This historical home is a converted fire station with 1,572 square feet of living space and loads of classic New England charm. Sip fresh coffee beneath the pergola in the mornings. Recline on the outdoor living room set, or kick back in an Adirondack chair. This private, tree-lined space also features a gas grill and a dining table. An outdoor shower is handy for rinsing off after days of exploring by the sea. From whale watching to art tours, Boothbay Harbor is the perfect spot for a fun-filled vacation. Arrive at the Maine State Aquarium, about a mile and a half away, or explore the beauty of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in just over three miles. Picturesque Pine Tree Preserve is a beloved spot for hiking and pondside picnics in less than two and a half miles.

High ceilings and exposed beams bring a regal air to the great room, with plenty of comfy seating. Select a book from the shelves and snuggle up by the gas fireplace, or find your favorite shows on the 40" TV. An open-concept living room framed with warm wood floors and ceilings is an inviting place to share snacks and drinks before dinner. The chefs in your group will adore the sunny country-style kitchen. Butcher block countertops and a gas range make meal preparation simple.

The primary bedroom is a serene sanctuary with a 32" TV.

Amenities include complimentary WiFi and a washer/dryer.

While this home does not have central air-conditioning, each bedroom has a window unit.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Wonderful house, good location, not impressed by the landlord company

The house is just beautiful and was very clean, very comfortable, we loved it. The shower stall is very small. The location is nice but not really walkable to anywhere. Communication with Vacasa, however, is not great. They reply much better before you book and maybe the first day and then - not anymore... There were some issues and they sent only auto replies and no real answers. Not really issues with the house, the house is rather perfect.

Perfect home

Everything about the home and the location was amazing. Good central location for a day trips. Only complaint is the keypad did not work and it took us about 30 minutes to get into the house. Other than that everything was wonderful.

A Great Main-stay

This house just off the harbor of Boothbay is lovely, charming and a delight to visit. It gets nice light, has ample kitchen space, nice TVs and working WiFi and something we loved - an outdoor shower that reminds of our stays in Nantucket. We were able to walk our dog into Boothbay Harbor proper for dockside coffee & when we didn't feel like walking it's less than a 5-minute drive into town. It's also only a short drive to the Botanical Gardens where we had a great time looking at nature and Trolls - wooden sculptures that are set within its forest areas. We loved being here. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that Vacasa, the property manager, provided us with a door code that didn't work on the digital lock for our check in. I was able to get someone on the phone (you have to dial a specific #in one of your emails, not the all-purpose #) who eventually gave us the working combination for a lockbox with a key. But it's a sinking feeling to drive 6 hours and then not be able to get into the house. It worked out, but we had issues with same property manager when we were in Main a few years ago. They have great properties but there's no actual person around for when tech issues go wrong. But other than that... we loved it!

Fantastic home and location

Great location, easy walk into boothbay harbor. Approximately 15 min walk. Could leave the car behind to explore the town. House was beautiful,3 bedrooms to accommodate our adult son and teenager daughter in separate rooms. Large kitchen and great outdoor patio. Lovely and quiet. Very relaxing stay. Great base to explore the coastal towns.

Adorable house

Great location that makes it easy to get downtown. Well appointed house and decorated so nicely. The yard space was great to have the kids run off some energy. The only improvement would be to make the shower stall larger. It is a tight fit for large or tall adults. The primary mattress could use an update, but overall it was a wonderful house. We will be back!

Home not as listed

This property was clean and walkable distance to town. However, the listing is inaccurate. There are not ac units in every bedroom , only one in master bedroom. The other two rooms only had about 3 fans each, and did get very hot at night. I specifically asked about this and was told there were units in each bedroom before arrival. I complained on our first night and was told the listing was wrong and there was nothing they could do. I would not stay in this home again. Vacasa has been very difficult to deal with in regards to this issue.

Super clean, great common spaces, fine bedrooms.

Exceptionally clean place. Downstairs & outside areas were fantastic. Bedrooms could use some updating (carpets, mattresses) & the one full bathroom was really small, especially the shower. Outdoor shower helped with that a bit. Overall a really solid place!

Firehouse Cottage

Beautiful place… well appointed and very comfortable. Excellent kitchen. About a mile from town… a bit longer than expected. That said, it is a good central location to many places. Some great hikes and restaurants!

Cute and Close to Town

Adorable firehouse cottage - downstairs is really expansive with the sitting room in the open kitchen plus a sunken family room. Upstairs are three bedrooms sharing one bathroom off a small hallway, so if you’re looking for a ton of privacy, keep that in mind, but it was perfect for our family weekend.

Loved the Firehouse Cottage!

This was a great place for our stay in Maine. We had 4 adults and 2 children. The grandkids loved the place. The floor plan was open with plenty of seating in the living areas. Nice outdoor patio, too. We would definitely consider booking this again.

Firehouse Cottage Rental

The Firehouse Cottage was a very comfortable rental. Cute decorations, clean, and very spacious. We really enjoyed having 3 separate bedrooms and the great room to relax in for the evenings. We did encounter a few issues during our stay but TurnKey was very prompt in responding and coming up with solutions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great House in Boothbay Harbor

This is a wonderful rental in Boothbay Harbor. Really comfortable and clean, and close to downtown, restaurants, beaches and hikes. There was a lot of space for our family of four, and we loved having the outdoor space and two separate sitting areas to hang out. We will be back!

A lovely stay

It was a perfect spot to stay slightly out of the congestion of Downtown Booth at Harbor but definitely close enough to go every night for a walk through the shops. A great stay. We'll definitely be back.
