Why spend more on a single hotel room when you can have a whole multi-bedroom cabin and property to youself?

Lookout Point Cabin is located at the top of a tranquil mountain PAVED road. Privacy between you and the surrounding neighbors by natural barriers and woods. Solitude with isolated wooded views in the rear and spectacular far-range mountain views in the front.

Enjoy waking up with your coffee on the front porch as the sun rises over the mountain peaks. The common areas emphasize quality time, including a game room and family room. There is a hot tub you can soak in right off the back porch. Enjoy a relaxing evening down by the fire pit with your friends/family.

Need to get some work done while away? Free wifi with high-speed internet is included. All TVs are smart TVs with streaming apps already loaded. Antennae broadcast available.

Price is for entire cabin and property. Owners do not reside on premise.

Private driveway for parking. No access to garages.

House Layout:
Three bedrooms. Three bathrooms
First Floor: entryway, one bedroom, one bathroom, game/family room
Second Floor: master suite and bath, one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room. Access to back deck hot tub and front balcony.

Sleeping Arrangements:
THREE KING BEDS and an inflatable queen mattress (ideal for children) can sleep 8 guests. One of the king beds can separate into two twins if needed.


Dog Friendly. One kennel/cage provided. One set of dog bowls to use. Property description is for only 1 dog, <50 pounds. If >50lbs or more than one dog requested, please inquire to see if an exception can be made for your furry family member(s). $30 per stay pet fee. I'm sorry, NO cats as family allergic.


Only 6 miles (10 minutes) from door step to down-town Blue Ridge (ALL PAVED). No need for 4x4 or truck to navigate these roadways.

Only minutes from mainstream attractions including hiking/biking trails, gem mining, Mercier Orchards, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, wineries, fishing, blue ridge lake, etc. Let’s not forget a little drive to North Carolina and Tennessee.

Disclosures: property is in the mountains with other residents in proximity. Though the mountains are typically quiet and serene, there is the possibility of exposure to animals and other natural noises. These experiences cannot be helped or modified.

Wonderful weekend
Very nice place to stay. Clean and very accommodating. The towels and washcloths were high quality. Not your cheap white towels you see most places. Beautiful view! It was a wonderful weekend.

Lookout Point was the perfect location for our family trip
Located between McCaysville & Blue Ridge - perfect for all our adventures. White water rafting, kayaking, horseback rides, ziplining all within 20 minutes or so. The home was very clean, and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The only annoyance was the dogs next door - as mentioned in other reviews- they barked alot, and through the night our first night. The hot tub was clean, the grill worked great, and the ice maker was able to keep up. Loved the screen porch, especially watching storms come in. We would definitely stay again.

Loved it
The house was well furnished and beautiful! Everything was as advertised. We had 1 minor problem text Sarah and she was right on it and got it fixed! Some people complained on other reviews about the neighbors dogs. They did bark but don't let that stop you from renting the house. The hot tub worked great and I had no problems with the grill

The Best Family Retreat
Wow! Our stay was so comfortable & peaceful. We can tell how much love & care the owner puts into this house. The cleanliness was outstanding. The thought of putting a game room downstairs was fun for the family. The famous game of all that my kids enjoyed playing was the "Tiki Toss". We were in "awe" with the mountain view top. We ate all our meals watching the view. Nothing was missing. We felt at home! We will surely come back!

awesome view, great location
The house has a cool layout, is nicely landscaped, and is complete with a hot tub, game room, full kitchen, and a large screened in porch with a great view of some mountains (I'm from Florida, so they looked like mountains to me). It's 5-10 minutes to the town of Blue Ridge, white water rafting or tubing areas, and even closer to the Mercier Apple Orchard store. It's less than a mile off the highway on decent roads, in a quiet area. There's a Dollar General about 2 miles away if you forget to bring something. If you come, beware that there are no alcohol sales in the county, except in some wineries or orchards, and maybe some restaurants. It was a good value relative to hotel prices in town. I would stay there again for sure.

AMAZING PLACE
This was an amazing place! The beds were so comfortable and sheets so soft. Though we didn’t cook we noticed the kitchen was very well stocked. The screened in porch with the beautiful Mountain View’s was absolutely breathtaking! Everything was beautiful and clean and well cared for. We were gone a lot and didn’t get to enjoy a lot of the amenities like the fire pit and the hot tub and the game room but all were wonderful touches that will ensure we will be back again!

Perfect Set Up
I almost dont want to leave a review as I want to go back and dont want the bookings to fill up. The location was perfect, the rooms were incredible, communication was clear and quick. We had an amazing stay @ Lookout Point. The views abound with so much beauty and as far as the eye can see you can’t help but stop and take it all in from all the vantage points this home offers. The host was prompt to make sure we arrived and were all set . The host responded promptly to any of our inquiries. The screened in porch is amazing to be able to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. We made amazing memories with our family.

Relaxing Mountain Rental

Wish we were able to stay longer!
We did a family roadtrip for spring break through several states, but wanted to stop and linger longer in the mountains, so we chose Lookout Point for our couple nights in the mountains. And we regret we weren't able to stay longer! The cabin is beautiful! My favorite space was the screened-in porch. It was perfect for an early morning quiet time with coffee! The game room is a nice addition - my teens enjoyed having that available to them. The location is great - close to town (Blue Ridge is adorable!) and also close to hiking. With a bit of a drive, you can get to Springer Mountain and hike some at the start of the Appalachian Trail. The roads to the cabin are paved and we had no issues getting to and from the cabin. Great parking at the cabin, and it's well lit at night. Sarah was a great host! She kept in touch with us leading up to our stay and offered some great suggestions for things to do in the area. We really enjoyed the hospitality! We don't tend to vacation in the same spot more than once, but this is on our list of areas to come back to and we'll definitely try to book Lookout Point again whenever we head back!

Fall Break
We really enjoyed our stay on my grandsons Fall Break at school. Our location was very close to Mercier's Apple Barn. We also enjoyed visiting the Amish store. View was breath taking and the weather was awesome; cool in the mornings with a lot of sunshine in the afternoons. The cabin was very comfortable, clean, spacious. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmellows around the fire pit. The only negative there is to this location was the neighbors (not sure if they live there or were renters) but their dogs barked almost all night the last night we were there.

The View is amazing!
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well appointed home! It was probably one of the most equipped homes i've stayed in. We all felt like we were at home. The screned in porch was the big hit. I think we spend most of our time out there. The hot tub was a nice bonus after hiking each day, which there's plenty of hiking trails close by. We also visited downtown blue ridge which was easy and visit that some breweries. All in all, it was a great girl's get away. Sarah was very easy to communicate with and appreciated her thorough instructions and follow up. Would definitely rent here again.

Comfortable and convenient
Great for groups who need a lot of space. Super clean and comfy. The game room is a huge plus for kiddos! The deck was a favorite. Close to cute downtown area but still private. Would definitely return!

Amazing mountains view
We really enjoyed the cabin very much. The view was amazing. It had everything we needed and the game room was a great way to relax and keep the kiddos entertained. The dogs next door were a minus as they seemed to be outside every moment we were and barked constantly. The bath towels and kitchen towels were very mildew / moldy smelling as soon as they got wet, they just wreaked. Overall, we had a great time, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. The house was a little dated in terms of decor. Good location in terms of proximity to downtown Blue Ridge. The grill did not work. I would be cautious of the late fee this owner charges. We had everything out of the house ready to go at 10:00 which is the check out time. My girlfriend did not feel Well but we would have left as soon as the cleaning crew arrived but they never did, at least not when we were still present at the home. The host said the late fee would apply if we delayed the housekeeper. Never arrived and still charged. The host just wanted an extra fee added. Hotels do not make you check out at 10, but apparently the owners think their house is a Ritz or Four Seasons. There are much better places to stay. We go tomBlue Ridge at least twice a year and probably the most mediocre place was this house.
