Such a perfect hideout!
We spent a bit more then a week, during this surreal coronasummer. Looking for some quietness after a hectic spring.
The house is spacious and, as the pictures show, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. Very comfortable. A great marriage of form and function. The bedrooms are spacious and in style as well. I loved taking a shower with a view on the forest.
We really enjoyed the garden, big, differents spots to be, to read or play, with different views. And shade from trees. With an occasional visit of deers. I could stay there for hours and hours.
The swimming pool is compact, heated. with a an automated pool cover. So even the days we did not have very good weather, we could have a swim.
I almost forgot the kitchen. The falcon stove is a gem.
The direct surroundings are totally calm. Endless yellow grainfields combined with green small forests. A grocery store and bakeries at a 25 minute walk, partly along some fishing ponds / parks. A nice walk.
Occasionally we needed a brief encounter with other people or change of scenery. We went to the beach one day (Veules-les-Roses) and to Rouen. Paris is nearby too, easy for a daytrip.
Benjamin was a great host. Responded very fast and was very helpful in suggestions.
So, we spent a lovely week. We just might come back again.
