"Otter Sight" Riverside Cottage - Just Steps from the Deschutes

Welcome to "Otter Sight." As you walk into this quaint riverfront cottage you immediately see an incredible view of the Deschutes River that's otter this world. You couldn't get any closer to the river without getting wet.

Otter Sight sleeps four with a queen bed and a trundle bed that converts into two twins. It has a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge and stovetop. Cookware and dishes are provided. There's one full bathroom with a shower and tub. The large riverfront window is tinted for privacy. Outside the window is a man-made spillway that creates a beautiful water feature. Two sections of the window open with a screen so you let in the sound of the rushing river.

The Bend Riverside Commons Condominiums line the Deschutes River and are directly adjacent to Pioneer Park. You have plenty of room to stretch your legs on our grassy patio or in the park next door. Take the riverside trail north or south for a refreshing taste of the outdoors. The proximity to downtown Bend cannot be understated. You can walk to numerous restaurants, pubs and downtown boutiques in under ten minutes.

Our property does include an indoor heated pool which is open daily, so be sure to pack those swimsuits!

Basic cable will be provided in the rooms, that means your basic set up of analog channels. You are, however, most certainly welcome to bring your own streaming device, all tv's in our units are flat screen with HDMI hook ups. (HDMI cords not included in room)

Very well located & within walking distance to downtown, the old mill district, & multiple food truck pods as well as right on the river walk. Easy parking & access to the unit.

Wonderful Location , Needs to be cleaner
Loved the location , so convenient and beautiful . However the floors were filthy !! And the pseudo nightstands were super dusty and I had to clean myself . Also , should have real and sturdy nightstands instead of wobbly makeshift tall lights with shelving. Could also use a bigger vanity with more counter space . That could’ve made a big difference . Plus perhaps a King size bed ? There seems to be room for that option .

Great location
The location for walking is great - easy walk into town or out into nature. Only recommendations would be to replace the mattress on the bed - not very comfortable and an extra blanket for the trundle bed - a half quilt and a throw not enough. Otherwise the room has everything needed for a few days or even weeks.

Very nice location - exactly as advertised. River view just outside the window (didn’t see any otters, but saw a blue heron). Quiet, private - even though River path goes right in front of the window. Would definitely stay here again.

Great View, Great location!
The sound of the river is so incredibly relaxing and the view only adds to the experience. We never had to drive once we parked because the location is just a short along a beautiful riverside trail to the tons of great locations downtown! Would happily stay here again, great place!

Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and peaceful. But Please fix the bathroom floor. It is a trip hazard especially at night. It will be a liability, so please fix that floor tile that sticks up on the floor. Thank you. :))

Ugh!
I will say that the people were nice and understanding. However, the place was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty and smelled horrible. We were on the ground floor in a studio along a walking trail. Large window in front of the bed had half a curtain!!! Half of the window was uncovered. Everyone could see inside as they walked by the window. The stove was broken, floor dirty, furniture was thrift store at best. The smell was awful, they moved us to another room which smelled like dirty socks. We spent 1 night out of the 3. We stayed only because it was late. Woke up with a headache and sore throat from breathing whatever that smell was. It was extremely hot in the room. We couldn’t open the window in the bedroom for air because it was accessible by people walking by. We packed up first thing in the morning and checked out. The people were very nice and did refund our money which I appreciated very much

Location along the Deschutes River was great. The room was private, with access to the river and a public waling/biking trail that is next to the river. Check was easy. A couple of items that could be improved would be the bed was not very comfortable, there was no spare blankets, and the hours for the pool/spa are not posted and the hours that the pool is open is reduced for winter hours.

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation!
My husband and I (plus our pup) had a fantastic four-day stay at Otter Sight. The view of the Deschutes was magical, especially in the snow! Very cozy space, and conveniently located near downtown Bend. Our only issue was that the space was slightly dirty upon check-in - dust and pet hair on the windowsill and bookcase - but other than that everything was exceptional. We will be back for another stay!

Spectacular River Views
We loved staying at this location. The river view was breathtaking, just steps from the unit. You could hear the river at night which was very peaceful. The location was perfect. Even in the middle of winter we walked everywhere following the river path right outside our door. We walked to the Mill District, ate delicious food, and enjoyed the natural landscape. The unit was very clean. The perk was having a heated indoor pool and spa, so don’t forget the suits! Definitely will go back.

excellent getaway
This property was simply stunning. The location - I can't even give it enough stars, because it was so great. Our room had a window looking directly out at the Rogue River. There is a walking path right there, too, so getting downtown for drinks and entertainment was so easy.

Being right on the Deschuttes was a treat. I loved leaving the windows open at night and letting the river sing me to sleep. Although small, the room was well equipped and tastefully appointed. The on site manager was very responsive.
