First of all, this hotel is not centrally located in Beirut at all, despite how it is described. We arrived late, around 2am, and there was nobody at all in the building. We wandered around inside looking for someone, and after a bit we got our phones to work so we could call the phone number. Turns out there are 3 different buildings, and they didn't bother to leave even a note to make sure we knew that. Anyhow, they sent someone over to let us in the room, and we quickly found out that NOTHING in the room was as it was advertised. It was dark, there were two small beds, and no decor. When we checked in, we showed them the email confirmation we had for a double bed room, with a decent bathroom, breakfast included, and artsy decor. They, however, had printed out another sheet of paper that said we had none of this, and their paper trumped ours. They even had a sign posted that says "Breakfast included", but it is not. Since it was late, we just checked in and tried to go to sleep. More surprises were to come in the morning. The place is being renovated and they went ahead and started their construction around 7 or 8 in the morning in the room right next to, or above ours. Whatever this person's job was, must have included repeatedly dropping heavy objects on the floor. When I called and asked if they could work on something less noisy so we could sleep, they stopped for about 10 minutes and then started right back up again. Overall, the facilities were very poor, the staff was not helpful or friendly, and there is ro real reason to choose this hotel. There are plenty of other places in Beirut, which are in the city itself, and where you have breakfast. Stay there instead.
