“Malgré une météo capricieuse, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour, entre visites de châteaux et dégustations de vins. Le gîte est très bien équipé et idéalement situé, au milieu des vignes mais proches des sites touristiques de la région. Le propriétaire nous a fait découvrir son vignoble et raconté l’histoire de ses ancêtres. Toute la famille était ravie de son séjour !”

“The staff were nice! But we had to pay 20 euros for sheets and towels as they were not included with the room. This was not stated until after the booking was made. Also the beds were basically just sofas, not very comfortable. Cheap just for a night to sleep but I would not stay there for more than a night.”

“A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...
