After long days exploring Amsterdam, the cool breeze off the water and gentle rocking of the boat was remarkably relaxing. Many of the major tourist sites are within walking distance. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. “Cozy and comfy houseboat with everything you need. The owner was very accommodating and maintained communication to you ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and our first night was relaxing. However, party goers from Friday night lead to a 2am awakening to yelling and screaming on Saturday morning. We would still return here next time we're in Amsterdam.”

“It’s a sufficient place to stay, a good location, and the owner is lovely, but you have to climb up and down stairs that are almost like a ladder to get to your room and there is NO view whatsoever. It’s a barge, not really a houseboat. We are older, and wouldn’t have rented if we had known you couldn’t see out and ladder climbing was involved!”

“The stay was great and breakfast delivered every morning around 0830. We had breakfast in the Wheel house on the top deck. The next floor down was a sitting area with a small refrigerator but no microwave; the same floor gave you access to the toilet and shower. Bottom floor provided a bed, very-very small sink, and a place to hang a few things up. If you’re under 5’8” and barefoot you should not hit your head on the ceiling. “Wir sind für ein Wochenende mal ohne Kinder verreist und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise hat alles problemlos funktioniert. Die Vermieterin (Anne) war für jede Frage offen und antwortete immer sehr schnell. Die Unterkunft war super, es war sauber und angenehm ruhig(obwohl der Flughafen sehr nah ist). Alles was man benötigte konnte man in dem Wasserloft vorfinden. Für ein verlängertes Wochenende oder eine kurze Auszeit genau das richtige. Wir werden auf jeden Fall...
